چکیده
Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition is a highly promising tool for coating due to its versatility, tunability, low consumption, and cost-effectiveness, with an increasing scope of methods at both atmospheric pressure. Adhering green chemistry principles, biobased precursors have recently shifted into the focus research interests. This review gives overview main biogenic substance classes that been used plasma polymer coatings, including natural oils, terpenes, enzymes, lactic acid-based precursors. The common feature these not only their origin, but additionally manifold properties resulting plasma-deposited thin films, ranging from antimicrobial tunable surface-wetting characteristics, electrical conductivity, or biodegradability. combination unique features makes plasma-derived polymers based on immensely attractive applications.

Antarctic new particle formation from continental biogenic precursors
Over Antarctica, aerosol particles originate almost entirely from marine areas, with minor contribution from long-range transported dust or anthropogenic material. The Antarctic continent itself, unlike all other continental areas, has been thought to be practically free of aerosol sources. Here we present evidence of local aerosol production associated with melt-water ponds in continental Anta...
متن کاملSecondary organic aerosols from anthropogenic and biogenic precursors.
Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation from the photooxidation of an anthropogenic (1,3,5-trimethylbenzene) and a biogenic (alpha-pinene) precursor was investigated at the new PSI smog chamber. The chemistry of the gas phase was followed by proton transfer reaction mass spectrometry, while the aerosol chemistry was investigated with aerosol mass spectrometry, ion chromatography, laser desorp...
متن کاملDiamido Complexes of Titanium and Zirconium as Catalyst Precursors for Ethylene Polymerization
A series of 8 new complexes of titanium and zirconium with diamido ligands bearing an ethylene and propylene bridge between the two amido groups were synthesized and tested for ethylene polymerization. Titanium complexes bearing an ethylene bridge between the two amido groups showed higher activities than the derivatives with a propylene bridge. In the case of the zirconium complexes, the p...

متن کاملPlasma polymerization: chemical analysis of the plasma gas phase
The polymerization by radiofrquency (RF) plasma of different monomers (methyl methacrylate (MMA), tetraglyme and 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA)) has been carried out. The plasma gas was investigated by optical emission spectroscopy (OES) in the UV-vis wavelength rang. The excited species formed in the plasma were identified for the different monomers. From computer simulations of the ro-vib...
